One popular technique among thieves is lock snapping. This is where they snap off the door handle, giving them access to the end of the lock barrel so they can snap it at its weakest spot.

Ultion locks have a rigid molybdenum core. It’s 25% denser than iron, a material that’s very hard to snap. It is this feature that also protects your property against lock drilling. This is where thieves do as the name suggests – attack your door lock with a drill to gain access. You can drill all locks but need specific drills and a lot of time. It also will make a lot of noise; thieves don’t like noise.

The Ultion lock will enter into lockdown mode once it detects tampering. A spring-loaded pin will move into the central cam. The cam holds it in place, preventing anyone from compromising the lock.

Met with widespread approval

Many major bodies, including the Master Locksmiths Association, have given Ultion locks their seal of approval. The Association subjects products to rigorous testing to determine their effectiveness, and Ultion delivered impressive results.

The police have also recognised these locks for their physical security, ability to ‘design out crime’, and display of the British Standards Kitemark. They have been awarded the highest British Standard TS007 three-star standard.
